The Growth Advisor Librarian was created to address a major bottleneck: the overwhelming volume of tools, documents, and links distributed across multiple platforms, Slack, internal playbooks, Gemini, and more. While the Growth Advisor team had already built powerful resources like onboarding guides, audit checklists, and contracts, the absence of a unified and searchable system created cognitive friction.
This intelligent agent works as both an internal resource librarian and an integrator of other agents. It enables seamless access to critical documents by pulling directly from the existing Growth Playbook and consolidating search functionality across fragmented systems. Now, instead of toggling between tabs or digging through messages, team members can simply query the librarian with requests like “onboarding guide” or “store audit,” and receive direct links in seconds.
The development began by identifying recurring pain points in the team’s workflow difficulty locating the right materials, redundant tool creation, and inconsistent access to agent knowledge. By combining previously siloed AI agents into one collaborative system and linking directly into the playbook's core documentation, we created a centralized knowledge agent to serve as both guide and gatekeeper.
The result is a highly responsive librarian that saves time, reduces frustration, and increases operational clarity. During calls, in prep work, or while supporting merchants, the team now has a dependable tool to quickly surface high-value resources without delay.
What To keep in Mind…
While building the Growth Advisor Librarian, we recognized important risks, particularly in content freshness, search reliability, and system scalability.
There’s always a challenge in maintaining the accuracy of document links as resources evolve. Additionally, relying on AI search systems meant addressing cases where results were incomplete or contextually off. As a safeguard, we are actively working to integrate automatic updates and build in resource summaries to help contextualize when and how each document should be used.
As the system scales, ongoing feedback and refinement will be critical to ensure the Librarian evolves alongside the team’s growing needs, without adding new layers of complexity.
